“I just want to thank everyone for all the love and support,” says Jessica Jenkins, owner of newly opened Fresh Start Yoga at 543 South High Street. “It was non-stop work for awhile. Now, I am overwhelmed with the kindness of everyone.”
After many months of work and planning, as well as holding special events with Beauty Boost and others around Columbus, Jenkins now has her own yoga studio in the northern section of the Brewery District.
“We are starting slow with just yoga classes,” she says. Future events and classes will include workshops, life coaching and yoga teacher training. There is an opening special of $25 for two weeks of unlimited yoga classes (deal open through April 25th).
Fresh Start Yoga features a casually elegant decor and very good heat. Classes will heated to 85 or 90 degrees. “Enough to get a nice sweat,” says Jenkins. There are two generous bathrooms, a separate changing area, and a large lobby for chilling out.
Jenkins chose the name “Fresh Start” for multiple reasons. “A fresh start isn’t always a new place,” she notes. “It can also be a mindset. I suffered from severe anxiety for years. Yet, the first time I took yoga, as I got off my mat, the worry and anxiety was gone. It was a fresh start for me. I want to share that with others.”
Fresh Start Yoga located at 543 South High Street on the second floor (above Victory’s).
